I first met the above senior when I was doing his older brother’s senior prom photos. He was part of the group and I could already tell he had a wonderful personality. Later when it was time for his senior photos, I was so glad that I was chosen to do those too! We did his senior photos downtown and had the best time. Then he used his free mini session for his Soddy Daisy High School prom. His mini session was free for him and his date, but he had lots of friends that wanted to join in! We ended up with a lot of kids in this group! It was crazy, but fun!
You’ll notice that I use a lot of black and white with prom photos. I think it’s because everyone looks so classic in their tuxes and long dresses. You’ll also notice that I’m very fond of serious, looking away photos. I love the way they make you wonder what the person is thinking. Don’t worry, there are plenty of happy smiling photos, I just tend to post the ones that I am drawn to.
Take that last photo for example. I don’t know if it’s one of her favorites, but it is one of mine. I love how old-fashioned it looks. Her dress, her hairstyle, her expression, it looks like she stepped out of a 1940’s or 1950’s movie. Needless to say I also did it in black and white!
